Regional Public Health Nurse Pamela Palombo, RN, MSN offered free A1C screenings at the Amesbury Council on Aging on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. An A1C test is a quick, no-fasting finger prick that shows how your body has been managing blood sugar over the past few months. It’s one of the easiest ways to catch prediabetes or diabetes early, often before any symptoms appear. Results are ready in about 5 minutes, making this test a convenient health screening. The event was hosted by the MVPHA and was open to the public.
